Sean of Learn2Perform was a competitive fencer and Carleton University’s Head Fencing Coach from 1996 to 2002. Post-graduate, he obtained a Master of Arts in Applied Sport and Performance Psychology from the University of Ottawa. He has worked as a mental training consultant with athletes ranging from beginners to Olympians.
Sean transferred his passion for coaching and leadership to the business world using a combination of sports psychology principles and human performance technology to improve performance in the workplace. He maintains his professional designation as a Certified Performance Technologist (CPT) from the International Society for Performance Improvement.
In 2010, he was named a Top Young Trainer by Training Magazine. Sean is also a certified facilitator in the delivery of the Personal Discernment Inventory (DiSC). He began establishing his business foundation in 2012 but decided to run it full-time in 2017.
Sean specializes in coaching, leadership, management, and team development. For more than 20 years, he has been involved in the design, development, and facilitation of leadership programs for organizations in both the private and public sectors in North America.
He designed and developed comprehensive management curricula that provided learning opportunities for leaders at all levels in various organizations, such as the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, the Canadian Security Intelligence Service, and the Privy Council Office.
Sean has also facilitated sessions for Fortune 500 companies, including Standard Charter Bank, Price Waterhouse Cooper, Lenovo, and SunLife Financial.
